Inefficient use of agricultural residues

Agricultural residues are not being managed efficiently, causing damage to the environment. These can be a source of new and better income for peasant families. These residues also serve as raw material for the production of liquid fuels capable of replacing fossil fuels.

Poverty, Inequality and lack of opportunities in the rural sector of developing countries

Contract farming in deprived rural areas is almost nil, ffood prices in some seasons is not enough to cover production cost, and young people are migrating to the cities due to a lack of opportunities.

Thanks to his long experience of more than 16 years in the Modern Bioenergy sector, William creates ValueSkies, for the implementation of innovative and disruptive technologies in the sector of municipal solid waste and efficient use of agricultural waste. Before creating ValueSkies, William led commercial and collaborative relationships for the development of cellulosic fuels with Abengoa, Dupont; Novozymes; Beta Renewables, Italy and Clariant, Germany, being the forerunner of the first legal licensing structures for technologies related to Modern Bioenergy.

She has been a promoter and builder of real estate megaprojects. She is a founding partner of several companies from different economic sectors and a member of different boards of directors. Martha has a masters degree in renewable energies from the University of Spain.

Jean Jacques is Chemical Engineer from the Polytechnic Institute of Grenoble, France and Master from Stanford University in California. He is an expert in different areas such as the evaluation of gasification techniques based on the type of carbonated materials to be gasified, in the industrial application of these techniques and in titration techniques for gasification in different products. He has worked for more than 25 years in the field of bioenergy production, operating on behalf of innovative companies in the sector such as KL Energy; Total, Electricity of France and Deutsche Bank. Prior to ValueSkies, he worked in evaluating different process design packages for the production of synthetic fuels from raw materials such as municipal solid waste, agricultural residues and energy crops.

José Lindo is co-founder of 2050 Life Investments, the first impact investment B Corp. José is also a visionary thanks to being the spokesperson for the positive scenario of the UN Millennium Ecosystem Assessment in 2009. Over the years, he has been developing his knowledge, sensitivity and experience on innovative financing mechanisms for mitigation and adaptation to the climate crisis. Throughout his career, he has worked as a policymaker for the UN and several governments, designing the fundraising of schemes such as the cap-and-trade EU ETS, UN-REDD, Article 6 of the Paris Agreement or recently the Voluntary Biodiversity Units and Hemp Removals. He was part of the team of experts that designed the Core Carbon Principles by TSVCM and the Carbon Pricing Principles by ICC.

Note: Renewable synthetic fuels are identical to fossil fuels, therefore it is possible to use the existing fossil fuel refining, transportation, and distribution infrastructure. Additionally, it is not necessary to make modifications to aircraft, ships, trucks, automobiles, motorcycles, or agricultural machinery.
